I've had people tell me I'm crazy and imagining things, but you can't imagine mushrooms and almonds squeaking...not when you feel and hear it happening!

You could do your next Disturbed post on cringe-able foods! I think everyone would relate well to that one. I hope you feel better soon; I don't like when my people are all unwell. I'll be sending you and Marticus healing vibles and prayer. Thanks for visiting and leaving a fun comment!

~ DawnHealing Morninghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03236609802381940498noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1871303039116532788.post-67537637843538258682011-02-05T11:51:41.076-05:002011-02-05T11:51:41.076-05:00Another sick person? Will have to check that out next time I have some.

And I share Duane's mushroom-squeaking shuddering. There are some other foods that I can't think of right off the top of my head right now where their sound or texture just makes me cringe.

I really hope to take part in the next Pleasantly Disturbed Thursday! I have to be better by then, don't I? (Actually, I feel pretty good right now, so I think it's almost gone)

Great stuff as usual, Dawn!Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00722667383694168074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1871303039116532788.post-82286619837347485882011-02-05T07:15:47.131-05:002011-02-05T07:15:47.131-05:00LOL...so sorry to make you shudder when you're...LOL...so sorry to make you shudder when you're already feeling under the weather, Marticus! I'm a bad friend for laughing, but I couldn't help it. It was borderline snort larfing, but I managed to keep it almost under control. ;-) I hereby promise to never cook anything w/ mushrooms when you and SG visit in the future, hand over heart solemn vow.

Oil in the soft white part of almonds makes them squeak, hmm? Interesting theory! It's as good a concept as any I've been able to come up with. I don't know why I didn't ask you about this first! Thanks for visiting & grasshoppering w/ me. :)

~ DawnHealing Morninghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03236609802381940498noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1871303039116532788.post-18067410465671139642011-02-04T23:46:39.692-05:002011-02-04T23:46:39.692-05:00I will definitely be thinking of you the next time...I will definitely be thinking of you the next time I eat celery. Or pretzels. Whichever comes first.

And why oh why did you make a comment about mushrooms squeaking? I hate mushrooms. That made me shudder.

And almonds have an oil in the soft white part of them that makes them squeak. Don't quote me, but that's what I think. .Duane Scotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06869537581331071117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1871303039116532788.post-55863837603691952902011-02-03T13:05:28.997-05:002011-02-03T13:05:28.997-05:00Savira, those socks sound like a brilliant idea! K...Savira, those socks sound like a brilliant idea! Kind of like the ones that are used with those sandals that accompany formal kimonos, maybe? I went to a business meeting this morning and didn't wear stockings or socks w/ my heels, and goodness, when that cold wind blew, I was regretting that decision! Thanks for stopping by, dear one! <3

Jessica M., let me know if you get the celery scent on your hands next time you eat pretzels! You don't really detect it when you're eating them. It's afterwards, there's a lingering celery scent on your fingers, I swear! I'm glad you enjoyed this post. :)

Mary, I hope you do try the mustard seed idea! It's a staple in my refigerator these days. I get mustard seeds in 2 lbs freezer safe bags from www.nutsonline.com for this very purpose.

Jim, I'm glad I made you smile! Grasshopper thoughts and yammering brain syndrome can either drive you batty or provide inspiration. Since I also suffer from what I call Low Boredom Threshold, the occasional grasshopper moment keeps me entertained, and I can pass that along to my friends who follow my blog. I'm glad you have grasshopper moments too! :)

Helen, I have a dear friend in Chicago who just spent the past two days shoveling snow. Bless all of your hearts; I don't envy that activity, although I do wish we had more snow here in Knoxville. Mushrooms squeaking - see, I KNEW someone out there would agree with me that they do squeak!! I don't mind it all that much, I just wanted affirmation that I wasn't imagining it!!! Thanks for giving me a chuckle in return. :)

Happy Grasshoppering, everyone!

~ DawnHealing Morninghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03236609802381940498noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1871303039116532788.post-51568820971129233922011-02-03T12:36:47.059-05:002011-02-03T12:36:47.059-05:00I don't like any kind of nylons of socks on my...I don't like any kind of nylons of socks on my feet at all. Well some genus invented these socks that when you wear them there is a slot for the big toe and the rest for the other toes so us ladies can still wear T straps during the winter months!!!!Savira Guptahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17463773284421101573noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1871303039116532788.post-52448119716160899152011-02-03T03:02:06.306-05:002011-02-03T03:02:06.306-05:00Scott, thanks for stopping by! We just have to remember to LOOK for the sunshine, because it's always there. I'm glad you enjoyed the grasshopper moment! :)

Susan, feel free to "facelift/bloglift" the grasshopper thoughts any old time! I always enjoy writing these, as it is a sort of mental housecleaning process and it's just pure lighthearted fun. I hope your students enjoy the exercise; I find it really can produce some interesting writing. It's a good one to break writer's blocks also. I sent you a friend request in FB just now, btw. I believe we're destined to be friends! And now I'm off to visit your blog in return.

Namaste'!

DawnHealing Morninghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03236609802381940498noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1871303039116532788.post-58933360222323005512011-02-03T02:36:53.947-05:002011-02-03T02:36:53.947-05:00Whoa! so many thoughts on such diverse things.
